HILLSIDE—Kean Stage will present the classical guitarist, Emanuele Segre in concert on Sunday April 11, at 3 p.m. in Enlow Hall.
Called “a musician of immense promise” by the Washington Post at his debut, Segre has fulfilled that promise over the years with performances in New York, Los Angeles, Boston, London, Paris, Amsterdam, Vienna, Prague, Salzburg, Tel Aviv, Rio de Janeiro, Istanbul, Warsaw, Madrid, Rome, Milan and Seoul.
As soloist, he has appeared with the English Chamber Orchestra under the direction of Salvatore Accardo, the Moscow Soloists, the Zagreb’s Soloists, the European Community Chamber Orchestra, the Slovakian Chamber Orchestra and the Süddeutscher Kammerorchester and has performed with the Orchestra of Teatro alla Scala in Milan.
Segre has participated in prestigious international festivals such as the Marlboro Festival (USA), the Bratislava Festival (Czechoslovakia) and has recorded various other CDs with Delos, Dlaves, Amadeus and other record companies. The concert program will feature works by Mauro Guiliani and Astor Piazzolla.
Tickets are $25 for adults; $15 for seniors; and $10 for children.
