Retired Men’s Club Celebrates St. Patrick’s Day

LINDEN—The Linden Retired Men’s Club held a St. Patrick’s Day Party for members and their guests on Tuesday, March 16 at the John T. Gregorio Recreation Center in Linden.

There were 93 seniors attending. All the men had green derbies and the women wore shamrock necklaces. Everyone was dressed in green. The hall was had Irish decorations with shamrocks, balloons and leprechauns.

The catered event had Irish music, songs a performance by the Davis Academy of Irish Dance and the Shea Deirdre School of Irish Dancers.

Joseph Czajkowski, a club member, dressed in an Irish kilt and played the bagpipes.

The Retired Men’s Club is the largest and most active club for senior citizens of Linden, sponsored by the Department of Public Property and Community Services. It is open to all senior men and women of Linden. The club continues to grow and offers many social events such as themed parties, and trips.

The club meets every Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the JTG Recreation Center. Anyone wishing to join may call the center at 1-908-474-8627.
