CRANFORD–Over 300 patrons filled the Cranford Community Center for United Way of Greater Union County’s Cranford Community Council’s inaugural Taste of Cranford event. The event generated more than $5,600 to benefit United Way of Greater Union County’s Special Response Fund.
This year’s designee was Cranford Family Care. Partners for the event included Cranford Patch, Downtown Cranford Management, and the Cranford Chamber of Commerce.
“This events success again demonstrates that Cranford’s residents and businesses care for their neighbors and the community,” stated James W. Horne, Jr., CEO of United Way of Greater Union County. “Their generosity and the leadership of the Cranford Community Council enable organizations like ours to continue our work.”
“For the committee’s first event, I think we received an astounding response”, said Jerry DeNigris, chairman of the Cranford Community Council. We are truly grateful to all of the restaurants & volunteers who made this event possible and such a great success. We look forward to doing it again next year.”
Taste of Cranford restaurant participants included Avenue East, Bel Paese Gourmet Deli, Blimpie’s, Breadsmith, Boulevard Five72, Climax Brewery, City Grind, Dittrick’s Wine, Emma’s Brick Oven, Fresco’s, Garlic Rose, Gourmet Deli, Gran Maestre Manchego , Hunan Wok, II Gabbiano, II Giardino, Italian Pantry, Jarlsberg , Java’s Brewin, Le Rendezvous, Perroti’s Meats, Pinho’s Bakery, Pipeline Brands (St. Germain Liquor and Montecristo Rum),The Cranford Hotel, The Greek Store, The Office Bar & Grill, Tony’s Café, Wild Hibiscus Brands, The Wine Seller, and Woolwich Dairy.
