Roosevelt Students Celebrate Black History Month

RAHWAY — In celebration of Black History Month, Donna Fidecaro’s class at Roosevelt School in Rahway performed a play, “KC’s Dream” by Brenda B. Covert.

Parents, relatives, administrators attended. All of the students participated, wearing costumes and portraying famous accomplished Black Americans including President Barack Obama, Condaleezza Rice, Jackie Robinson, Michael Jordan, Dr. Mae Jemison, Rosa Parks, and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

They completed their program with a song, “Stand Up For Martin Luther King.”
