Project To Honor Marriages Of The Greatest Generation Seeks Letters

NEW YORK, N.Y.—The Institute for American Values wishes to honor marriages of the Greatest Generation.

Emily Luschin, Affiliate Scholar with The Institute for American Values, said, “We want to preserve stories from your local community of marriages that began in the 1940s and 50s. Many of these men and women wrote love letters to each other during World War II. In that same spirit, we invite members of the Greatest Generation to write a love letter to their sweetheart today.

“What have you learned about love and life? What were the surprises, joys, and challenges of married life? What was the secret to your success? What do you want to pass on to the next generation? In short, what is your story?”
Letters* will be kept anonymous and may be shared in a publication.
