SCOTCH PLAINS – Whole grains are a great source of nutrients and fiber, but do you know your grains? And better still, do you know what to do with them?
Find out with chef and Registered Dietitian Diane Weeks in a cooking demonstration called Whole Grains on March 23 at 7 p.m. at the RWJ Rahway Fitness & Wellness Center, 2120 Lamberts Mill Road, Scotch Plains.
Weeks will show you a variety of whole grains available in most supermarkets and how to prepare them for main dishes, side dishes and desserts. Samples will be available and there will be recipes, too.
