CLARK – Author Kelvin R. Ward shares a dark phase in his life and recalls how he managed to see the light again in his new book. In “Divorce Ahead – Detour,” the Clark resident offers inspiration as he tells of the miracle that unfolded before him after coping with divorce.
Raised in a household without a father, Ward wanted to make sure that such traumatic life would not be experienced by his daughter.
But as fate would have it, his marriage of 16 years ended with a divorce. It was a blissful love affair. The woman he married was as devout Christian as he is. So when he was confronted with the bitter reality of permanent separation, Kelvin turned to the one who he knew would pick him and his shattered heart—God.
He unveils the story of his life and to bring inspiration to couples and to individuals who are going through the same tribulation he thought he would never overcome. In “Divorce Ahead – Detour,” he opens up by expressing how two hearts should not give up on each other easily and that allowing God to save the relationship would make things so much better.
“You have a chance to give God the Glory in your marriage and reap the blessing for it,” shares the author, “Ask God right now to touch the heart of your mate and if you are giving your mate a hard time ask God to touch your heart and change it right now.”
Rev. Kelvin R. Ward is a member of Agape Family Worship Center, located in Rahway. He is currently a Director of Hospital Ministries for United Chaplain International Worldwide Outreach Inc., located in Newark.
