Winter Weather Could Cause Icy AM Commute

UNION COUNTY – The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Union, Essex and Hudson counties. An icy mix of precipitation could cause tomorrow morning’s commute to be hazardous.

The advisory is in effect from 8 p.m. tonight until 10 a.m. tomorrow morning.
Light to occasionally moderate precipitation is expected to spread from west to east, beginning as a mix of snow and sleet. By early morning, it is expected to transition to a mix of sleet and freezing rain. It is expected to change to all rain by late morning.

Snow and sleet accumulations of approximately an inch are expected.
