RAHWAY—The Second Annual New Jersey Oral Cancer Walkathon will be hosted by Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Rahway. It will be held at Rahway Park from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on May 16.
This event will feature a fund-raising walkathon for the N.J. Oral Cancer Project providing free oral cancer screenings offered by volunteer dentists, free follow-up care for needy individuals, public education forums, table presentations by various dental organizations, and a continuing education course on oral diseases and pathology for all interested health care professionals.

Sponsors and individual contributions can also be made at the website. All contributions should be made out to the N.J. Oral Cancer Walk. All funds from the walkathon provide support for the N.J. Oral Cancer Project, a 501-c-3 not for profit organization.
The N.J. Oral Cancer Project is an organization that is run by the N.J. Oral Cancer Coalition. The organization’s mission is to:
- provide free oral cancer screenings statewide;
- educate the public about the risks, prevention and treatment of oral cancer;
- support oral cancer research;
- help uninsured, needy patients receive medical care for treatment of oral cancer.
