Students Awed By Murals Of Diego Rivera

PERTH AMBOY—Perth Amboy Catholic School hosted a Teacher’s Discovery Traveling Exhibit featuring the colorful murals of artist Diego Rivera, considered a national treasure of Mexico.

The students and staff enjoyed giant reproductions during Catholic School’s Week, the first week of February 2010. The exhibit featured the pieces “Sunday Afternoon in Alameda Park”, “The Flower Vendor” and a mural painted in the University at Chapingo in Mexico in 1926.

This exhibit celebrated art, Spanish language, Mexican culture and history. It was sponsored by the Art Department and generosity of the Perth Amboy Catholic School parents.
