RAHWAY—This year, outstanding students across the nation will take part in a unique leadership development program being held in 35 cities. Austin Jackson, a freshman at Rahway High School, has been selected to participate in the National Young Leaders State Conference.

Jackson is no stranger to such honors. He traveled to California in 2007 through a scholar athlete program and went to Europe through the People to People program in 2009.

Jackson was nominated by Amara Van Wyk, a music teacher in the Rahway school system.

The conference will be held on March 18-21 in Princeton.
