LINDEN – Members of the Linden Police Department’s Critical Infrastructure Protection Unit/ S.W.A.T. and Linden PBA Local # 42 helped keep some city children warm this winter.

Lt. Jonathan Parham, commander of the unit, received a list of approximately 20 children in need of winter coats from the city Welfare Department. His unit and the PBA collected money to purchase the coats and distributed them to the children.

A decision will be made later this year about whether to continue the “Coats for Kinds” initiative, police said.
