RAHWAY—Students from Rahway High School’s Social Action Club sold paper hearts to raise money for victims of the Haitian earthquake disaster. So far, the initiative has raised over $2,000 to be donated to the American Red Cross International Disaster Relief Fund.

The fundraiser, conceived and organized by English teacher Elizabeth Graner Jotz, has become a collaborative effort involving the Social Action Club, the ESL classes, Student Government Association and several other schools in the district.  Hearts are sold for $1 each or three for $2, and are on display in the halls of Rahway High School.

To donate, contact Jotz at ejotz@rahway.net.
