Linden Third Graders Discover Talents

LINDEN—The third grade at School 10 in Linden was recently inspired to put on a talent show.

The students had read the story, “The Talent Show” by Susan Wojciechowski.  It is about a little girl named Beany who wanted to be in her school’s talent show but didn’t know what to do. Her friend Carol Ann talks her into doing an act with her, but Beany isn’t having any fun. In the end, she learns to just be herself and have confidence in her talent.

The class decided to have its own talent show to show class members’ talents.  It was just for fun and no prizes were given, but the students learned to be proud of their talents.

Matthew Milano, Michael Scarpelli and Marcello Cappuccio, who just started lessons in October, played “Merrily We Roll Along” on their trumpets.
