Jan. 18 at 9:26 p.m. – Officer Marty Venezio investigated a report of a motor vehicle theft, which occurred at 76 Central Avenue.

Jan. 19 at 11:04 a.m. – At the Garden State Correctional Facility at Yardville, Officer Terrance Harrison arrested Loch Arbor resident Joseph Thornton, 31, on an outstanding warrant for contempt of court. He was subsequently transported to the Union County Jail.

Jan. 19 at 2:52 p.m. – Sgt. Michael Zelanko investigated a report of a stolen pocketbook at 1051A Raritan Road. The incident is under investigation.

Jan. 19 at 8:45 p.m. – Officer Andy Wagner investigated a report of a burglary to a Tudor Drive residence.

Jan. 19 at 10:50 p.m. – In the vicinity of 186 Westfield Avenue, Officer Chris Lott arrested newark resident Wayne Spates, 51, for DWI. He was also detained on an outstanding warrant from Rockaway Township.  He was subsequently released after posting bail.

Jan. 20 at 8:39 p.m. – At the Union Beach Police Department, Officer Brian Renda arrested Union Beach resident Danielle Krecz, 28, on an outstanding warrant for contempt of court. She was subsequently transported to the Union County Jail.

Jan. 21 at 9:33 p.m. – In the vicinity of Raritan Road and Clarkton Drive, Officer George Marmarou arrested North Bergen resident Rafael Villar, 26, on outstanding warrants from Guttenberg and North Bergen. He was issued summonses for motor vehicle violations and subsequently released after posting bail.

Jan. 21 at 11:31 a.m. – Officer Brian Renda investigated a report of criminal mischief to a motor vehicle, which was traveling in the vicinity of Lake Avenue and Starlite Drive.

Jan. 22 at 10:16 a.m. – At 1060 Raritan Road, Officer Dan Pitts recovered a motor vehicle that was previously reported stolen.

Jan. 22 at 1:57 p.m. – Police and Fire Department personnel responded to a report of a fire at 237 Westfield Avenue.  The Clark Volunteer Fire Department extinguished it.

Jan. 22 at 3:54 p.m. – At 45 Central Avenue, Officer Dan Pitts arrested Rahway resident Joanne Monda, 42, for theft.  She was subsequently released on her own recognizance pending a court date.

Jan. 23 at 12:58 a.m. – In the vicinity of 2 Highland Place, Officer Chris Lott arrested Elizabeth resident Tennille Stewart, 33, for DWI.  She was also issued a summons for a motor vehicle violation and subsequently released pending a court date.

Jan. 23 at 8:19 p.m. – At 76 Central Avenue, Officer Chris Tuccio arrested Linden resident Jennifer Fakelman, 39, for shoplifting merchandise totaling $88.80 from the Shop-Rite Supermarket. She was subsequently released pending a court date.

Jan. 24 at 8:41 a.m. – Officers Glenn Griffin and Antonio Manata investigated reports of eight separate incidents of burglary to a motor vehicle, which occurred at an apartment complex located on Gibson Boulevard.

Jan. 24 at 11:09 a.m. – In the vicinity of Valley Road and Stiles Street, Officer Antonio Manata arrested Edison resident James Bethea, 44, on outstanding warrants from Rahway, Newark and the Union County Sheriff’s Department for contempt of court.  He was subsequently turned over to the Union County Sheriff’s Department.
