EDISON—Bonnie Farrell of Fords, a plant biologist and the mother of Sara Reiss, a first grader at The Wardlaw-Hartridge School in Edison, took Joanne Jacobson’s first grade class on a nature walk on the school grounds to explain plant adaptations on Jan. 15. The students learned about the different types of plants and trees on campus and how they grow and change with the seasons.
