RAHWAY—LaFayette Lodge #27 F&AM of Rahway held their annual charity night Jan. 8. The lodge continued their tradition of giving monetary donations to several local groups.
Worshipful Master Douglas A. Patrick, who made local history in December by becoming the first African-American installed as Master of the Lodge, handed awards to Cindy Santiago (YMCA), Ray Mikell (Rahway Center Partnership), Lawrence Cappiello (Rahway Arts Guild), RW Michael Holt (MSA, a Masonic organization that helps veterans), Red and Theresa Stinger (Deborah Hospital), Sandy Erwin (Union County Arts Center), and Larry Bodine standing in for Police Chief John Rodger (Rahway P.D. Bicycle Helmet Program). These donations are made possible by the dedication of the Lodge Members both past and present.
La Fayette runs a Blood Drive every two months; the next one is on Jan. 30 from 9 to 2.
