Legion Post Collects Cookies For Troop Care Packages

ISELIN—American Legion T. Nulty Post 471 in Iselin organizing a cookie collection project to show support for American troops overseas during Valentine’s Day.

Donors will be able to drop off cookie packages on Friday, Jan. 22, from 3:30 to 8 p.m. at the post, located at 25 Brown Avenue in Iselin.

On Saturday, Jan. 23, the post’s Blue Star Families and Friends will be sorting, packing, and shipping the cookies, valentine heart candy, and items donated by the Middlesex Water Company employees, the Woodbridge High School Band and their Parents Association, the St. James School and others.

If you don’t have time to bake, you can donate funds to defray the cost of mailing these packages.  Make your check payable to the Post 471 Blue Star Family Support Group and mail it to American Legion T. Nulty Post 471, 25 Brown Avenue, Iselin NJ 08830
