CARTERET—Mayor Dan Reiman has announced that the Children’s Charity Trust Fund will be accepting monetary donations to assist with relief efforts in Haiti, where a catastrophic magnitude 7.0 earthquake devastated Port-au-Prince, killing at least 50,000 and affecting approximately 3 million others.
According to the mayor, 100 percent of the proceeds generated through donations will be given to the Red Cross and/or U.S. Aid to help families left homeless in the wake of the disaster.
More information has been made available on Carteret’s Public Access T.V. 36, and at www.carteret.net . Donors may also call 1-732-541-3801 or visit the Memorial Municipal Building at 61 Cooke Avenue.
