RAHWAY—St. Thomas the Apostle Byzantine Catholic Church will host a one-day Slavonic Festival on Saturday, Feb. 6, from noon to 10 p.m.
The festival, now in its 23rd year, will feature food specialties such as palachinka, pierogis, holubki, chicken paprikash, Hungarian goulash, potato pancakes, and kielbasa. Picnic food, such as hot dogs and hamburgers, will also be available.
In Check, a local band of Eastern European descent, will provide live musical entertainment. There will also be games, a craft fair with over 20 dealers of new and hand-crafted items, church tours and more. Vigil Liturgy will be celebrated by Father Michael Mondik at 5:30 p.m.
