ELIZABETH – An unidentified man suffered minor injuries after sustaining a gunshot wound on Tuesday night, police said. The victim was shot around 11 p.m. on 2nd Street in Elizabeth, according to police. He was taken to University Hospital in Newark. Police did not immediately identify a suspect or a motive for the shooting.


LINDEN – Two Linden teens were shot Tuesday afternoon while near the corner of Bower and East Henry streets in Linden, police said. The teens told police that three black men pulled up in a dark blue four-door car with tinted windows pulled up beside them and opened fire.

Two adults who were with the teens were not injured, but a 17-year-old was shot in the upper back and a 16-year-old was shot in his left leg, police said. The victims were taken to University Hospital in Newark to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.

RAHWAY – A TD Bank branch on St. Georges Avenue in Rahway was robbed Wednesday afternoon, according to police. No one was injured during the robbery, and police were not immediately aware of the amount of cash taken.
