Jan. 4 at 10:27 a.m. – At the Essex County Jail, Officer Keith Meehan arrested Perth Amboy resident Amilcar Lincho, 49, on an outstanding warrant for contempt of court/motor vehicle violations.  He was subsequently transported to the Union County Jail.

Jan. 5 at 12:14 a.m. – In the vicinity of 875 Raritan Road, Det. David Satkowski arrested Bloomfield resident Marco Linares, 31, on outstanding warrants from Kearny and Kenilworth for contempt of court/motor vehicle violations.  He was subsequently released after posting bail.

Jan. 7 at 7:48 a.m. – Det. Walter Merfert investigated a report of criminal mischief to a motor vehicle, which was parked at 405 Willow Way.

Jan. 7 at 9:09 a.m. – Officer Brian Soos investigated a report of a theft of a pocketbook from a patron of the Shop-Rite Supermarket at 76 Central Avenue.

Jan. 10 at 2:51 a.m. – Police and Fire Department personnel responded to a report of a motor vehicle fire in the vicinity of Gloria Street.  The Clark Volunteer Fire Department extinguished the fire.

Jan. 10 at 8:03 p.m. – Officer Brian Soos investigated a report of a stolen motor vehicle, which was removed from 104 Westfield Avenue.
