RAHWAY—Pre-Kindergarten students at Franklin School in Rahway recently experienced a plethora of holiday learning experiences. Reading, writing and music were used to communicate varied themes and content.
Arina Robinson, principal of Franklin School, takes a moment to join the Pre-K students in dressing as Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. The students put on their Rudolph antlers and red noses during their Christmas Party.
Students in Kathy Harris’ class wrote letters to Santa and posted them just before Christmas in a special North Pole Mailbox.
After hearing stories about the Gingerbread Baby by author Jan Brett, Pre-K students in Kathy Harris’ class created and decorated their own Gingerbread Man. The Gingerbread Man met an untimely end – he was eaten by the students during their Christmas Party.
Band students from Franklin School’s fourth and fifth grades serenaded the entire student body with a selection of Christmas Carols. The Band is under the direction of Jason Miklowcic.
