Clark Public Library Welcomes New Director

CLARK—New Clark Public Library Director Patricia Anderson began her new job last month.

She graduated from the University of So. Maine and received her Masters in Library and Information Science from Drexel University.  Most recently, she was the county library director for Cumberland County in Bridgeton.  Prior to that she served as director of the Montville Township Public Library and the Clarence Dillon Public Library in Bedminster and Far Hills.

When asked about her approach to serving the library community, Anderson said that she strives not only to have a library accessible to all, but strongly believes in outreach services to the community.  One of her first priorities will be to reach out to the local businesses in town and to the local schools.  She is active in the New Jersey Library Association and the American Library Association and has chaired a number of committees in both organizations.

Frank Stebbins, president of the Clark Public Library Board of Directors, thanked Jeff Kesper, the interim director, who finished up his duties in early November.  During his brief tenure, Kesper dedicated himself to not only maintaining the library day-to-day activities, but also in reaching out to the community.

Anderson said that she looks forward to serving the residents of Clark Township and expanding upon the many fine programs and services currently being offered.
