Learning About German Christmas Traditions

EDISON – On Dec. 9, kindergarten students at The Wardlaw-Hartridge School in Edison took a quick trip to “Germany” in Lower Snowdon Library, where they learned about Saint Nicholas, the Christian tradition of an Advent calendar, and the German Candle Carousel.

The students left their tiny shoes outside of the library hallway to be filled with candy by their teachers, who demonstrated the generosity and tradition of Saint Nicholas, who all know as Santa Claus.
