“Sunshine” Spreads Holiday Cheer

MIDDLESEX COUNTY – This holiday season, the Prodigal Foundation, Inc. will donate hundreds of teddy bears to local area hospitals, which will include Raritan Bay Medical Center and JFK Medical Center.  The teddy bears will be presented to children that are in the hospital over the holidays.  Foundation mascot “Sunshine” will deliver teddy bears personally to the children.

Hospital personnel are always thrilled to have “Sunshine” visit the children and see the joy and excitement in their eyes when he presents them with gifts, according to foundation officials.

“‘Sunshine’ has enabled us to expand our Holiday Bear Drive program from a holiday tradition to one that will bring joy and comfort to children affected by cancer to a year round program,” said George Yuhasz, president of Prodigal Foundation, Inc.

Yuhasz continued, “‘Sunshine’ will make regularly scheduled visits to hospitals throughout Middlesex County continuing the holiday tradition throughout the year to bring joy to children affected by cancer.”

If you would like to assist the Prodigal Foundation with this program, go the donation page at www.prodigalfoundation.com and click the donate button under Project Teddy. Prodigal Foundation, Inc. is located at 73 Main Street in Woodbridge, New Jersey.  To find out more about Prodigal Foundation, email eprodical@comcast.net, or call 1-732-636-9200.
