CRANFORD—Gerri Stiner, a lecturer on environmental, health and nutrition issues, will give a talk about “Toxins in the Home” on Tuesday, Dec. 15, at 7:30 p.m. in the Cranford Community Center, 220 Walnut Avenue.
The program will include a 20-minute video produced by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, “Are You Exposing Your Children to a Toxic Brew In Your Home?” Stiner will discuss the amount of waste created by household cleaners, from containers to chemicals, and the health impacts of certain chemicals found in common household products.
The lecture will also include information on being “green” without going to great expense, and will point out useful print and online resources that contain information about maintaining a toxin-free environment.
Admission to the program is free and all are welcome.
