Rewarding Reading

RAHWAY – Roosevelt School in Rahway uses a software program called Accelerated Reader to build a lifelong love of reading in every student. Students read books on their current reading levels and complete the reading practice quiz. Points are given to students and prizes are awarded. Pictured is fourth grade student Julian Navarro reading a Harry Potter book during his library class. Navarro has achieved 600 AR points and for this accomplishment has been given a $15 gift card.
