H1N1 Vaccination Clinics Posted On Union County Website

UNION COUNTY – Union County has begun posting a schedule of upcoming H1N1 flu vaccination clinics on the county website, www.ucnj.org.  The public clinics are administered by the municipal health departments in Union County.

Residents should also check their local municipal website or call their local health officials for the latest information on nearby clinic locations and dates.

The public clinics are focused on persons in targeted populations including pregnant women, individuals who are 6 months to 24 years old, individuals under 65 who have a chronic or underlying health condition, caregivers of infants under 6 months, and licensed health care workers who have direct patient contact.

To help avoid the spread of both H1N1 and seasonal flu, all residents are urged to take basic precautions including frequent hand-washing, using tissues to cover coughs and sneezes, avoiding contact with sick persons, and staying home when sick.

For a free brochure on H1N1 or to get more information, call the Union County Office of Health Management at 1-908-518-5620 or visit www.ucnj.org/lincs.
