ELIZABETH—Benedictine Academy, an all-female Catholic college prep high school in Elizabeth, has released its first quarter honor roll. Thirty-one students at the academy were named based on outstanding academic performance. The honors students were recognized at a breakfast held at the school on Nov. 20.
Named to first honors at the academy were: Grade 12- Barbara Diogo of Newark; Danah Lewis of Hillside; and Gabrielle Teixeira of Newark; Grade 11- Geraline Arroyo of Union; Grade 9- Michelle Colonia of Elizabeth and Samantha Herrejon of Union.
First honors students must maintain a 93 average and above in all subjects.
Achieving second honors recognition at Benedictine Academy were:
Grade 12- Denise Allison of Irvington; Melissa Amorim and Diane Araujo, both of Newark; Natasha Ballah of Irvington; Cindy Carpintero and Danielle Dorsey, both of Newark; Stephanie Gaspar of Elizabeth; Aimiosinor Igetei and Thanita Kennedy, both of Hillside; Delecia McPherson of Irvington; and Leslye Paz of Elizabeth;
Grade 11- Chisom Emeana of Hillside; Chelsea Odufo of Newark; Alicia Onacki of Roselle; and Sara Pereira of Elizabeth;
Grade 10- Melanie Achariam of Elizabeth; Dinh Do and Andrea Mendoza, both of Union; Cinthya Pizzaro of Elizabeth; Drusilla Sefa and Ariana Taveras, both of Newark;
Grade 9- Kai Alexander, Tabitha Davis and Samantha Frejuste, all of Irvington; and Shervonne Gittens of Elizabeth.
Second honors students at Benedictine Academy must maintain an 83 average and above in all subjects.
