Linden Teen Shot While Walking Home
LINDEN – A 16-year-old Linden girl was shot in the back late Friday night while she was walking home from a store on South Wood Avenue, according to police.
The victim told police that she was walking home with a friend shortly before 10 p.m. when they heard gun shots near the street’s 1100 block, authorities said. They ran to her boyfriend’s apartment, where she realized that she had been shot.

The girl was treated at University Hospital in Newark, according to police. She was listed in stable condition Monday.
