Nov. 21 at 8:50 a.m. – Officer Ken Sarnecki investigated a report of a theft of a pocketbook from a patron of the Crowne Plaza Hotel at 36 Valley Road.

Nov. 21 at 1:50 a.m. – Officer Pat Grady investigated a report of a burglary to a motor vehicle, which was parked at a Lionel Street residence.

Nov. 22 at 3:59 p.m. – Officer Thomas Sarnecki investigated a report of criminal mischief to a motor vehicle, which was parked at a Lexington Boulevard residence.

Nov. 23 at 6:35 a.m. – Officer Thomas Sarnecki investigated a report of criminal mischief to a motor vehicle, which was parked at a Deerwood Drive residence.

Nov. 26 at 2:59 p.m. – At 76 Central Avenue, Officer Christopher Tuccio arrested Elizabeth resident Douglas Weiss, 38, for shoplifting merchandise valued at $287.89 from the Shop-Rite Supermarket.  He was also detained on an outstanding warrant from Linden for contempt of court. He was subsequently turned over to the Linden Police Department.

Nov. 26 at 3:21 p.m. – Police and firefighters responded to a report of a cooking fire at a Cellar Avenue apartment. The resident had already extinguished it when the officials arrived.

Nov. 26 at 6:55 p.m. – Police and firefighters responded to a report of a brush fire at 11 Elisa Lane.  The Clark Volunteer Fire Department extinguished it.

Nov. 29 at 12:13 p.m. – Officer Thomas Sarnecki investigated a report of a theft of a commercial dishwasher from 1051 Raritan Road.

Nov. 29 at 5:40 p.m. – Officer Daniel Joy investigated a report of a theft of items from a motor vehicle, which was parked at 215 East Lane.

Nov. 29 at 6:32 p.m. – Officer Daniel Joy investigated a report of a burglary to a Westfield Avenue residence.

Nov. 30 at 1:13 a.m. – In the vicinity of Madison Hill Road, Sgt. John Doherty arrested Rahway resident Ralph Gonzalez, 21, for possession of CDS and possession of narcotics paraphernalia. He was subsequently released on his own recognizance pending a court date.
