Volunteer Firefighters Needed
PERTH AMBOY – The Perth Amboy Fire Department is accepting volunteer firefighter applicants. Potential volunteers are invited to Fire Headquarters, 375 New Brunswick Avenue, on Saturday, Dec. 12 at 10 a.m.
Applicants must:
• be 18 years of age
• live within five miles of Perth Amboy
• be motivated and willing to work
• be able to complete basic firefighter training at the local fire academy
In addition, a valid New Jersey drivers license is recommended.
Training and equipment will be provided, and volunteer firefighters receive annual stipends based on participation.
A tour of the firehouse and fire apparatus will be offered to potential applicants on Dec. 12.
