RAHWAY—This December, the Union County Performing Arts Center will host a variety of live performances.
The month kicks off with America’s favorite tenor, Michael Amante: Holiday Show (Dec. 4). Also this month, don’t miss Christian Ha-Ha-Ha-Holiday Comedy Night: “Laughter For Your Soul” (Dec. 5); Simple Gifts Folk Music Trio (Dec. 6); and A Rahway Dance “Nutcracker” (Dec. 11). Closing out the month will be Rahway’s annual Orchestra of St. Peter by the Sea (Dec. 12).

America’s favorite tenor, Michael Amante, is considered one of the most versatile and gifted performers of our time. Accompanied by a talented orchestra under the direction of Ron Abel, Michael Amante will thrill the audience with an evening of unforgettable and stirring music. UCPAC presents Simple Gifts Folk Music Trio
Sunday, Dec. 6, at 3 p.m.
Three women plus twelve instruments equals one good time when Simple Gifts takes the stage. Combining tradition with innovation, Simple Gifts creates some of the finest arrangements in folk music today: swing fiddle creeps into a Romanian dance, spoons show up in an Irish reel, and the concertina ventures far beyond styles considered traditional for that instrument. Based in the hills of central Pennsylvania, these women play an amazing array of instruments.
Linda Littleton, Rachel Hall, and Karen Hirshon switch with ease among two violins, concertina, mandolin, banjolin, recorders, bowed psaltery, hammered dulcimer, baritone fiddle, guitar, piano, and percussion. Rahway Dance Theatre presents A Rahway Dance “Nutcracker”

Returning from their tour of Scotland, Rahway Dance Theatre is brings back A Rahway Dance “Nutcracker”. Join this diverse company as Rahway Dance Theatre takes the stage! Rahway Dance Theatre’s mission is to introduce and to educate the local communities, the value of dance in everyday life.
