Skulski Art Gallery Announces New Exhibit

CLARK—The Skulski Art Gallery of the Polish Cultural Foundation in Clark will present an exhibit by Agnieszka and Darek Golen from Nov. 20 through Dec. 18.

The opening reception will take place on Friday, Nov. 20, from 8 – 10:30 p.m.  The public is welcome, admission is free and light refreshments will be served.

Agnieszka Golen was born in Poland in 1969.  She graduated from T. Brzozowski Art School in Miejsce Piastowe, Poland, were she studied wood sculpture, painting and graphic design.  She participated in several individual and group shows in Poland and in the United States.

Agnieszka works in a wide variety of media and techniques, which, among many others include pastels, watercolors, acrylic and mixed media collages.

For past 20 years, she lives and works in the United States.
Darek Golen, born in Poland in 1967, graduated from T. Brzozowski Art School, Miejsce Piastowe, Poland, studied wood sculpture, painting and graphic design.  In 2005 Darek graduated from Katherine Gibbs School in Piscataway, obtaining certificate of Visual Communications.  He participated in several individual and group art exhibitions in Poland and in the United States.

Darek works in wide variety of media and techniques, mostly using unexpected, usually organic materials.  For past 20 years lives and works in the United States.

The Skulski Art Gallery is open Monday through Friday 5-9 p.m. The Polish Cultural Foundation, a non-profit organization is located at 177 Broadway, Clark.
