LINDEN—A local basketball team needed a hand, and ConocoPhillips Bayway Refinery answered the call.
As part of the company’s commitment to the development of local youth, Bayway Refinery sponsored the G-Force Elba Basketball team. The team is made up of boys ranging from 14 – 17 years of age from the cities of Linden and Elizabeth.
Community Relations Coordinator, Mary Phillips said “There is nothing better than being able to help out our neighbors, and this is a cause we truly believe in. The G-Force Elba team promotes sportsmanship, leadership, academics, and discipline amongst team members and helps strengthen our community.”
ConocoPhillips’ donation enabled these gifted young men to participate in summer tournaments during a season that matched and exceeded their previous successes.
