FORDS  – Foster and Adoptive Family Services and the New Jersey State Policemen’s Benevolent Association are hosting their eighth annual statewide PBA toy drive on Dec. 8 at Royal Albert’s Palace in Fords.

For the last 16 years, Foster and Adoptive Family Services has provided toys to children in foster care homes under the leadership of Executive Director Mary Jane Awrachow.

“The holidays are often a difficult time for our children because of the losses they have experienced,” said Awrachow. “The generosity and kindness of the members of the State PBA softens these losses and brings happiness and joy to children in foster care throughout New Jersey.”

Toys collected on December 8 will be distributed to children at each county’s annual holiday party, which is organized through Foster and Adoptive Family Services’ Local Volunteer Committees and Affiliate.

Royal Albert’s Palace is located at 1050 King Georges Post Road in Fords. The drive will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. To donate to the toy drive, contact Nicky Goodwine-Samuels, director of development and communications, at 1-800-222-0047.
