LINDEN—The Linden Retired Men’s Club held a Halloween Party for members and their guests on Tuesday, Oct.27 at the John T. Gregorio Recreation Center, 330 Helen Street, Linden.
There were 95 seniors attending in costume. Mayor Richard J. Gerbounka also attended.
Attendees had to enter the hall through a cemetery gate. The hall was decorated with ghosts and monsters hanging from the ceiling and walls.
The catered event had Halloween music and games as well as monsters dancing to “The Monster Mash” and “The YMCA Song”.
The Retired Men’s Club is the largest and most active club for senior citizens of Linden, sponsored by the Dept. of Public Property and Community Services. It is open to all senior men and women of Linden. The club continues to grow due to the many social events such as themed parties, trips to dinner shows and Atlantic City.
The club meets every Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the JTG Recreation Center. Anyone wishing to join may call the center at 1-908-474-8627.
