EDISON—Patrick Madama, an administrator with a 33-year distinguished career in higher education, was appointed executive director of marketing and college relations at Middlesex County College.
Madama comes to Middlesex with a notable background, most recently with the City University of New York as a vice president for institutional advancement where he was responsible for alumni services, development, marketing communications, government and community relations.
“Patrick has a wide range of experience that will enhance our marketing efforts and help develop relationships with our constituencies,” said Joann La Perla-Morales, president of the college. “He is eager to work with the Middlesex community in advancing the profile of the institution.”
Madama is a product of the community college system, graduating from Monroe Community College before transferring on to SUNY Brockport where he earned a BS in Sociology and an MS Ed in Higher Education Administration. He is a former member of the board of directors of the Association of Fundraising Professionals Foundation for Philanthropy.
Previously, Madama held positions at the State University of New York, College at Brockport as executive director for college development and president of the SUNY Brockport College Foundation. In addition, he was the chief development officer at York College of Pennsylvania.
