Clark Athlete Stars At Susquehanna University Track Meet

BLOOMSBURG, Pa.—Susquehanna University’s men’s cross country team competed at the non-scoring Bloomsburg Open on Oct. 24.

Susquehanna freshman Brendan Kane (East Longmeadow, Mass./East Longmeadow) finished 20th individually out of 39 runners on the 7,006-meter course with a time of 26 minutes, 23.79 seconds. Fellow freshman Matt Calo (Clark/Arthur L. Johnson) ran a time of 26:41.50, good for 23rd overall.

Sophomore Robby Caulfield (Setauket, N.Y./Ward Melville) crossed the line in 25th with a time of 26:51.45, while sophomore Brandon Alexander (Newmanstown, Pa./Eastern Lebanon Country) recorded a time of 27:00.03 to place 26th. Sophomore Joe Zamadics (West Chester, Pa./West Chester East) rounded out the top five, clocking in at 27:00.59 to finish 27th overall.

Susquehanna was the lone NCAA Division III team competing. Division I Bucknell University and Division II Bloomsburg University were the others.
