Brooklyn Men Accused Of Trying To Lure Metuchen Teen

METUCHEN – Police arrested two Brooklyn men last week who allegedly attempted to lure a 17-year-old Metuchen girl into their car. Police credited witnesses with helping them apprehend the suspects.

Ashraf Sadulloev and Ahmad Badalov, both 26, were arrested about 3:30 p.m. on Oct. 22 and charged with luring, police said.


According to authorities, the girl was walking home from school on Christol Street when two men in a Nissan Maxima pulled up and drove beside her for several blocks. The asked her questions and asked her to get into the car, police said.

Two other girls who were waiting for a ride witnessed the victim being followed, police said. When a young man arrived to pick up the girls, they told him what they saw. He drove over to the victim and asked if the men in the Nissan were bothering her, police said.

The men in the Nissan drove away, but the young man called police with a description of the car and a partial license plate number, police said. An officer stopped the men a few blocks away.

Both suspects were taken to Middlesex County Jail and bail was set at $25,000 each.
