PERTH AMBOY-In 1937, New Raritan Bar and Grill and Nite Club at 375-377 State St. featured Vaudeville Headliners in a Gala Halloween Show. There was smooth dancing and rapid-fire entertainment.

SOUTH AMBOY-On Friday, Oct. 24, 1947, St. Mary’s High School held their annual Sophomore Dance. Eddie Reseter and His Orchestra furnished the music for the Witches’ Dance. Each boaster received a Halloween tag in the form of a witch to wear as evidence of “school spirit.” The hall was decorated to express the Halloween theme.
