RAHWAY—Student teacher Drew D’Amico, who is from St. Peter’s College, recently conducted a science class at Madison Elementary School in Rahway. Students worked cooperatively to conduct a hands-on science investigation to discover the components of some mock rocks.
Students weighed, measured, and sorted the ingredients found in the rock. The investigation is from the unit on Earth Materials, which is part of their science curriculum. During their investigation, students explored how a rock is made.
