College Offers Placement Test Workshop & Financial Aid Program

NEW BRUNSWICK—A workshop to prepare students to take the College Placement Test will be offered at the New Brunswick Center Wednesday, October 14 from 6-8 p.m. The New Brunswick Center is at 140 New Street, on the corner of Joyce Kilmer Avenue.

“The college requires that incoming students be evaluated in reading, writing and math in order to place them in appropriate courses,” said Evelyn Rosa, director of the Center. “This workshop will allow students to develop insight into the test and prepare to do their best.”

Two weeks later, on Wednesday, October 28 at 6 p.m., the College Placement Test and the English as a Second Language (ESL) Test will be administered.

In addition, the New Brunswick Center will also offer “Financial Aid 101,” a program to help students and parents understand how to apply for state and federal aid. Those workshops are on Wednesdays, October 21, November 4 and November 18, all at 6 p.m.

There is no charge for the workshops or test, but please register in advance by calling the Center at 1-732-745-8866.
