CLARK—The Dr. William Robinson Museum, located at 593 Madison Hill Road, Clark, will participate in Union County’s “Four Centuries in a Weekend” event.
The museum will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 17, and from noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 18.
On Saturday, the museum will showcase Civil War-era dancing at 11 a.m., 1 p.m., and 3 p.m. On Sunday, the dancing will be held at 1 and 3 p.m. There will also be demonstrations on Civil War underpinnings, chair caning, maritime history, hatbox/bandbox and hearth cooking on both days. Also on Sunday, a blacksmith will demonstrate his art.
Actors portraying President Abraham Lincoln and Mrs. Lincoln will be visiting on Sunday, and there will be a celebration of President Lincoln’s 200th birthday.
