WOODBRIDGE – The Barron Arts Center has announced Jeffrey Wechsler as the next speaker for their “Taste of the Arts” lecture series on Wednesday, Oct. 21 at 7:30 p.m.
He will be discussing the National Association of Women Artists and the contributions of women in the visual arts, their past difficulties and increasing acceptance within the field of visual art.
The Barron Arts Center’s “Taste of the Arts” is a free arts education lecture series that is open to the public. This series brings a selection of speakers and artists from all aspects of the arts to the Woodbridge Township community.
Wechsler is the senior curator at the Jane Voorhees Zimmerli Art Museum at Rutgers. Specializing in lesser-know aspects of twentieth-century American art, he has organized many exhibitions of American art including “Surrealism and American Art,” “Abstract Expressionism” and “Asian Traditions/Modern Expressions.”
