Opinions Are Not Facts

Victor Kamber’s article identified himself as a lobbyist, one who is paid to push a point of view.

He quotes the Violence Policy Center as if it were a source of truth. The article on Wikipedia says the VPC has a poor reputation for accuracy. When a lobbyist quotes the anonymous VPC he could be quoting something he himself wrote earlier. That would not be an independent source.

The study of concealed carry laws in Florida was done by John Lott (“More Guns, Less Crime”). There are other books like the Opposing Viewpoints series that address this topic.

Can readers identify the logical fallacies or half-truths in Kamber’s article?
