SCOTCH PLAINS—Willow Grove Presbyterian Church of Scotch Plains invites the community to attend “How the Earth was Made”, an adult education forum led by scientist and church member John Konopka.

The two-week forum will be held on Sunday Oct. 11 and 18, from 11:30 – 12:15 p.m. in the library/lounge at Willow Grove Church.  The class will present the History Channel’s production “How The Earth Was Made”, based on geologists’ recent insights into how our planet developed from a dead ball of lava in space into our life-sustaining home.

Many scientists see no conflict between scientific advances and religious beliefs. Konopka will support the position that our goal, as responsible stewards of God’s world, is to gain knowledge of its history and grow in a worshipful reverence for its Creator.

For more information about Willow Grove, call the church office, Monday to Friday, at 1-908-232-5678, e-mail info@willowgrovechurch.org or visit www.willowgrovechurch.org.

Willow Grove Presbyterian Church is located at 1961 Raritan Road, across the street from the Scotch Plains Southside Firehouse and soccer field and near the corner of South Martine Avenue.
