Rahway Voters Approve $34 Million School Construction Plan

RAHWAY—Voters approved $34 million in construction and renovation projects for the city’s schools yesterday.

The bond referendum passed 582 to 519.


The project includes renovations and installation of solar panels at the high school and the middle school, plus a new two-story, 12-classroom addition at the Grover Cleveland Elementary School.

The bonds will cost the average city homeowner $88 a year for 20 years, officials said.
