EDISON—Michael M. Powers, a 1991 graduate of Middlesex County College, has written a book, “Diminished,” and will hold an on-campus book signing on Thursday, Oct. 8 from 4:30-6:30 p.m.
“Diminished” is about Police Officer Hank Burroughs who is surrounded by death. He’s seen it first hand, he’s been torn apart by it, and now, he’s taken the life of a man in the line of duty. Tormented by his own guilt, Hank seeks out a psychiatrist to help him deal with his demons. While in therapy, Hank begins to fold back the layers of his memory in an attempt to find resolution, all the while wondering if he’s being hunted by something far more sinister.
Powers was graduated from Middlesex and then received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from East Stroudsburg University in 1993. He is vice president and marketing director for a credit union in New Jersey.
The signing will be in the Blue Colt Bookstore on the College’s Edison campus. Light refreshments will be served. For more information, visit bluecoltbookstore.com.
